Any Professional Events Photographer worth their salt will always be looking to provide better services, helping to set the standard for modern freelance event photography.
– Most Professional Events Photographers only use professional zoom lenses for event work. They are great at low light and work in all situations when you have to change perspectives at an instant. When its time to blow out that awful backdrop in a small room or to adjust to very low light I switch to use a faster prime lens. These are essential mix at live events especially if you cant really use flash. I usually always have at least two in the bag – a 135mm for stage work, 50mm for working the room, and a 20mm for wide shots, usually all f 1.8 producing bright photos with amazing bokeh!
– Instant transmission of photos using WiFi straight from the camera, emailed to you for your social media. No more bad smartphone images! Or continuous processing on thre go and uploaded to Flickr or your personal gallery like what we do here at the Droidcon London conference every year.
Any business that is in the process of establishing itself or has already done so will likely organize and host a corporate event at some point during the year. When executed effectively and professionally, events can serve as powerful PR tools that generate strong marketing momentum for your brand. However, many companies miss out on reaping these benefits by either not having a professional events photographer on site to capture the event or by failing to promptly promote the event’s activities through a follow-up marketing campaign.
If you’ve been savvy enough to hire a Professional Events Photographer, you will have a very fast turnaround of your images, that is pivotal in allowing you to do your Social Media follow up while the event is still fresh in the minds of the attendees.
Acting when the emotional intensity from an event is still high is a magnificent opportunity to develop brand advocates and evangelists.
